Daisy,
We've actually had two FB rentals in the past few weeks - friends of residents. Focusing our efforts on effective use of the platform versus the "what can it do for us" mentality has really improved how we view and use FB.

From an ROI perspective - if I can save one resident from moving out (they are more apt to discuss on FB than to call me, e-mail me, or come in and see me), then that return is plenty. Also, our analytics program works wonders for tracking return.

Thanks for all the great info!

Thanks for talking about this Daisy.... I always wondered how can we measure concrete results from having a Facebook page... I didn't think about the bulletin board concept... we may not get numbers from it but no doubt will people look at it. Everyone I rent to is on Facebook what amazing exposure that is! A positive image is difficult to measure through a number, but we all know how important it is...Just with the sheer number of people that would see us on Facebook what a positive impact that could be on a property!
