I believe the more options a rental community offers the larager amount of people it will attract- most of the time.

I'm not an animal lover- actually I dislike pets because they gross me out... (Yes, you can all boo me :( ) If I were renting I would seek a place that does not permit animals in the building I'm living in. I personaly don't want to smell dog or cat in the hallways- ever. I especially don't want to live in an apartment that previously may have had a pet. That's just me though. I completly understand and respect apartment buildings that do allow pet as long as it is managed properly.

If a rental property has multiple buildings the management company may want to consider having "pet designated" buildings. They may also want to have "pet designated" areas outside. This way both animal lovers and non-animal lovers can coexist and the property can hopfully stay occupied. :)
